Award Recognizes Entrepreneurial Excellence in Business Services Category
BALTIMORE (July 2, 2007) - Williams Scotsman, Inc. (NASDAQ: WLSC), a leader in the mobile and modular space industry, today announced that its president and chief executive officer, Gerry Holthaus, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2007 Award in the business services category in Maryland. According to Ernst & Young, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Gerry Holthaus was selected by an independent panel of judges and the award was presented at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year gala event at the Hyatt Regency in Baltimore on June 28.
"While Williams Scotsman's heritage dates back more than five decades, our entrepreneurial spirit has truly flourished over the last few years - thanks in large part to our dedicated employees," said Holthaus. "I am extraordinarily proud of them and I'm excited about the new product applications and innovations we've brought to the mobile and modular space category, our international expansion, as well as our initial public offering on the NASDAQ stock market."
Leading professional services firm Ernst & Young marks the 21st anniversary of its Entrepreneur of the Year awards program this year and continues to honor entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

As a Maryland award winner, Gerry Holthaus is now eligible for consideration for the national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 awards. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 17, 2007. The national Entrepreneur of the Year celebration is part of Ernst & Young's Strategic Growth Forum. The overall national Entrepreneur of the Year award recipient is then considered for the global award to be announced in Monte Carlo.
