What is the difference between a classroom and a construction office?
Our classrooms are specifically constructed to meet the needs of an educational environment. We help you design the best floorplan to assure an optimal learning experience, whether for primary, secondary or higher education. We also incorporate modern amenities and features such as built-ins, carpeting and shelving. Technology solutions can be provided in a variety of modular classroom configurations including single and doublewide models as well as customized permanent modular buildings. Usually the classroom will have a wide open floorplan, whereas the construction office will have private offices. In addition, the classroom will also have a different occupancy code. Williams Scotsman’s education experts will work with you to determine your specific space and technology needs.
Does Williams Scotsman have classrooms with accessible restrooms?
Yes, all classrooms are built per IBC and UBS code and are ADA compliant.
How much space do I need for the number of students?
The IBC and UBC code for classroom space is a minimum of 20 square feet per student, although your local building department or school district may have different or more stringent standards.
How do I know what building occupancy rating the building needs to be in order to be compliant?
Check with your local building department on required occupancy rating. A rule of thumb is if it’s for a public school district you will need an ‘E’ occupancy, if for private use a ‘B’ occupancy is typically acceptable. We have purchasing contracts available for school districts.
Am I responsible for the site?
Yes, your quote is for a clear, level site.
If you put the anchors in the concrete do you take care of the repair when you remove them?
No, William Scotsman does not take responsibility for site restoration.
